Charlie Albright to perform tonight at Faithbridge
The 2013-14 Heartland Concert Association season is underway.
“A poet of the piano,” Charlie Albright, will engage the audience what the New York Times calls “jaw dropping techniques” at 7:30 p.m. today (Tuesday), Oct. 15. Note the change of venue: This concert will be held at Faithbridge Church.
Winner of the prestigious 2010 Gilmore Young Artist Award and the 2009 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Gilmore concluded his season of debuts to critical acclaim in 2011. He has been hailed as being “among the most gifted musicians of his generation” by the Washington Post. A highlight in 2012 was a fourth concert with cellist Yo-Y0 Ma.
As if pre-med and economics at Harvard aren’t impressive enough, he has now been awarded his Artist Diploma from the Juilliard School of Music.
Admission is by season membership ticket only, which may be purchased at Beagle Books in Park Rapids, Thrifty White Drug in Walker.
