Cassandra was born Dec. 23, 1981 in Seattle, Wash. to Richard and Joella (Moss) Shupe. It was in Seattle that Cassandra attended public schools and grew into womanhood. As a young woman she worked at Chuck E Cheese gladly bringing happiness and pizza to many families. She moved to Park Rapids in 2000.

In addition to caring for her family, Cassandra worked as a waitress at West 40 for several years and also the Wild Loon on Main street.
Cassandra loved working with the arts. She was very adept at working with crafts, photography, and loved to make clothes for kids. For a number of years she has struggled with health issues, including fibromyalgia, but she would not surrender to the limitations it attempted to put on her life.
