Cass Lake girl killed in Saturday crash near Aitkin, Minn.
A 17-year-old Cass Lake girl died Saturday as a result of a single-vehicle accident north of Aitkin, Minn.
Paige Brown was a passenger in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix that was traveling south on state Highway 169 when it left the roadway and hit several trees, according to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Brainerd.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Sasha Garbow, 20, of Onamia, Minn., was taken to Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin for non-life-threatening injuries.
Also suffering non-life-threatening injuries were passengers Paschen M. Christensen, 22, of Brainerd; Joslyn R. Sam, 18, of Onamia; and Sierra C. Sam, 18, of Onamia. Christensen was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn., while the Sams were taken to Riverwood Healthcare Center.
The vehicle was totaled.
