Callaway man accused of selling meth
A Callaway man made his first appearance Tuesday in Becker County District Court on felony charges of selling drugs and drug possession.
Wayne Allen Gjerde, 47, of 115 Wisconsin St., Callaway, has been charged in connection with two separate incidents.
He is accused of selling 1.3 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant of the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force on June 20, for $200 in cash.
When officers executed a warrant for his arrest on that charge on Nov. 23, a pat down search of Gjerde yielded about a half gram of meth in various small baggies, taken from his pockets.
He is currently in custody at the Becker County Jail pending his next court appearance, at a Dec. 19 omnibus hearing. His bail has ben set at $15,000 with conditions, or $30,000 without conditions.
