Braves’ winning streak snapped by PRC rivals

     Tristan Litke scored a game-high 28 points as Pillager snapped a seven-game winning streak by the Menahga boys basketball team with a 78-75 Park Region Conference victory on Feb. 6.

     Aaron Jacobson added 15 points, Adam Bandemer had 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Ryder Hunstad scored 10 points for the Huskies, who improved to 4-5 in the conference and 8-10 overall.

     Austen Schwartz had 23 points and three assists, Austin Rudquist had 22 points, 10 rebounds and three steals, and Levi Schwartz had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Braves.

Henning defeats Braves

     Henning maintained sole possession of first place in the conference standings with a 64-49 win over Menahga on Feb. 11.

     Rudquist’s 17 points and Levi Schwartz’s 10 points and 12 rebounds led the Braves, who fell to 7-4 in the conference.

     Henning improved to 10-1 in the conference and 14-8 overall.

     Walker-Hackensack-Akeley outscored Menahga 44-34 in the second half for a 72-61 victory Thursday night.

     Rudquist led the Braves with 23 points and eight rebounds. Levi Schwartz pulled down nine rebounds and Kyle Skoog had six rebounds as Menahga fell to 13-8.

     The Wolves improved to 18-4.
