Tarah Cleveland's 32 points and Jenny Skoog's 19 rebounds led the Menahga girls basketball team to a 68-65 Park Region Conference victory over Verndale Tuesday night at Menahga.

Shelby Pihlaja added 22 points and three assists, Cleveland had eight rebounds and three steals, and Shannon Skoog had three assists as the Braves improved to 2-1 on the season.

Teresa Moenkedick scored 25 points for Verndale, which fell to 1-1.
