Bemidji man who died in parking lot was case of hypothermia
A Bemidji man found dead in a drainage ditch near the Sanford Regional Events Center likely died of hypothermia.
On Jan. 10, the Bemidji Police Department responded to the west parking lot of the Sanford Regional Events Center and located the frozen body of an adult male. The scene was processed for evidence and the body was trans-ported to the Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji for an autopsy.
The deceased male has been identified as Allen Skiple, 62 of Bemidji. Upon completion of the investigation there is no indication of a crime. The autopsy reviled Mr. Skiple died of hypothermia.
The Bemidji Police Department was assisted by the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office and the Beltrami County Communications Center.
