Bemidji man injured in cycle-deer crash
A 66-year-old Bemidji man was injured about 6 p.m. Friday when the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer on U.S. Highway 2 in Hubbard County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Brainerd:
Glenn W. Seibel was driving a 2009 Can-Am east on Highway 2 near the intersection of Hubbard County Road 45 when he struck a deer coming from the north ditch. Seibel was thrown from the motorcycle and he and the motorcycled tumbled before coming to rest in the median.
Seibel, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. He was treated and released.
The motorcycle sustained severe damage.
