Bemidji man hospitalized after single vehicle crash on Becida Road

The driver of a Silverado pickup was transported to a Bemidji hospital after the driver apparently struck a tree near Becida.

Just after 8:30 this morning, Beltrami County authorities got a call of a motor vehicle crash on Becida Rd SW (Co Rd 7) in Grant Valley Twp, near the Fern Lake Road, approximately 5 miles southwest of Bemidji.

Upon arrival deputies found that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, operated by a 48 year old Bemidji man, had left the roadway and struck a tree. The Deputies found that the driver was seat belted and there was airbag deployment.

The lone occupant/driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Sanford Hospital ER for treatment of his injuries.

Deputies were assisted on scene by the MN State Patrol, Bemidji Fire/Rescue and Bemidji Ambulance.

No other information about the driver or the extent of his injuries can be released at this time.
