Beltrami County Court report for Nov. 24

The following case was heard on Nov. 4 by Beltrami District Judge Paul T. Benshoof:

Darron Joseph Wilson, 22, of Cass Lake was sentenced for fifth-degree drug possession to 13 months in Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud which is stayed for 10 years. Wilson must serve 180 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for 82 days time served. He has been placed on 10 years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

The following case was heard Nov. 6 by Beltrami District Judge Paul T. Benshoof:

Conrad Kingbird, Sr., 42, of Ponemah was sentenced for fourth-degree assault to one year in the Beltrami County Jail of which 305 days are stayed for two years. Kingbird must serve 60 days and was credited for 20 days time served. Kingbird has been placed on two years supervised probation and must pay a $50 fine.

The following cases were heard Nov. 8 by Beltrami District Judge Shari R. Schluchter:

Nicole Louise Deeter-Tanner, 43, of Bemidji was sentenced for fifth-degree drug possession to 10 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for two days time served. She has been placed on five years supervised probation. Deeter-Tanner was also sentenced for two counts of child endangerment to 10 days in the Beltrami County Jail and credited for two days time served. She was placed on two years supervised probation. Deeter-Tanner may serve time on work release if eligible. A stay of adjudication was granted for both charges, successful completion of probation will result in a dismissal of the charges.

Jeremy Clyde Ince, 44, of Cass Lake was sentenced for possessing child pornography to 55 months in Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, which is stayed for five years. Conditional release after confinement has been set at five years. Ince must serve 60 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for one day time served. He may serve time on work release if eligible. Ince has been placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

Joshua James Male, 35, of Bemidji was sentenced for terroristic threats to 21 months at Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, which is stayed for five years. Male must serve 79 days in the Beltrami County Jail and has been credited for 79 days time served. He has been placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine. Male was also sentenced for domestic assault to 90 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 11 days is stayed for two years. He must serve 79 days and has been placed on two years supervised probation and must pay a $150 fine for the domestic violence charge.

The following case was heard Nov. 12 by Beltrami District Judge Paul T. Benshoof:

John Paul Martin, 37, of Bemidji was sentenced for DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 350 days are stayed for three years. Martin must serve 15 days and was credited for three days time served. He has been placed on three years court probation and must pay a $400 fine.

The following cases were heard Nov. 12 by Beltrami District Judge John G. Melbye:

Alicia Margaret Lou Gurno, 28, of Red Lake was sentenced for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle to 32 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for 32 days time served. Gurno has been placed on four years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine. Upon successful completion of probation the felony charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor conviction.

Michael John Wind, 30, of Red Lake was sentenced for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle to 12 months and one day in Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, which is stayed for four years. Wind must serve 48 days in the Beltrami County Jail and has been credited for 48 days time served. He has been placed on four years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

Michael John Wind, 30, of Red Lake was sentenced for DWI and fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine to 12 months and one day in Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, which is stayed for five years. Wind must serve 48 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for 48 days time served. He has been placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

Loren Wade Ledoux, 24, of Sturgeon Lake was sentenced for DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 350 days are stayed for three years. Ledoux must serve 15 days and was credited for 11 days time served. He has been placed on three years court probation and must pay a $750 fine.

Leslie Gene Robinson, 52, of Minneapolis was sentenced for DWI to 90 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 75 days are stayed for two years. Robinson must serve 15 days and was credited for nine days time served. He has been placed on two years court probation and must pay a $500 fine. Robinson was also sentenced for giving a peace officer a false name to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 350 days are stayed for two years. Robinson must serve 15 days and was credited for nine days time served. He was placed on two years court probation and must pay a $500 fine.

The following cases were heard Nov. 15 by Beltrami District Judge John G. Melbye:

Summer Jayne Dumarce, 31, of Bemidji was sentenced for child endangerment to three days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for three days time served. She has been placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine which has been stayed for four years if no violations. Dumarce was also granted a stay of adjudication for fifth-degree drug possession of methamphetamine. She has been placed on five years supervised probation. Successful completion of probation will result in a dismissal of the charge.

Timothy Edward Morrison, 55, of Bemidji was sentenced for DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 350 days are stayed for three years. Morrison must serve 15 days. He has been placed on three years supervised probation and must pay a $3,000 fine.

The following case was heard Nov. 18 by Beltrami District Judge John G. Melbye:

Terese Janelle Meyer, 47, of Bemidji was sentenced for DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 355 days are stayed for three years. Meyer must serve 10 days and was credited for three days time served. She has been placed on three years court probation and must pay a $500 fine.

The following cases were heard on Nov. 18 by Beltrami District Judge Shari R. Schluchter:

James Michael McClintock, 58, of Superior, Wis., was sentenced for second-degree burglary to 33 months at Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud which is stayed for 10 years. McClintock has been placed on 10 years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

Lisa Lynn Plumer, 27, of Bemidji was sentenced for second-degree DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 275 days are stayed for five years. Plumer must serve 90 days on work release if eligible. She has been placed on five years court probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

Chad Christopher Head, 22, of Bemidji was sentenced for fifth-degree possession of marijuana to 30 days in the Beltrami County Jail. Head must serve 30 days and may do so on work release if eligible. He was credited for five days time served. Head has been placed on five years supervised probation. Successful completion of probation will result in a dismissal of the charge.

Aaron John Jones, 35, of Cass Lake was sentenced for simple robbery to 12 months and one day in Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud which has been stayed for five years. Jones must serve 45 days in the Beltrami County Jail and has been credited for seven days time served. He may serve time on sentence to serve if eligible. Jones has been placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

James Adam Schummer, 28, of Wilton was sentenced for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and fleeing a peace officer by means other than a motor vehicle to 17 months in Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud which is stayed for four years. Schummer must serve 184 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for 123 days time served. He was granted sentence to serve to pay a $1,000 fine. Schummer was placed on four years supervised probation.

Jared Dale Boye, 26, of Walker was sentenced for theft and fifth-degree possession of Oxycodone to 13 months in Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud which is stayed for 10 years. Boye must serve 270 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for 108 days time served. He was granted sentence to serve to pay a $1,000 fine. Boye was placed on 10 years supervised probation.

Gregory James Smith, 25, of Bemidji was sentenced for terroristic threats to 25 days in the Beltrami County Jail. Smith was credited for 17 days time served. He has been placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.

Laurie June Headbird, 24, of Cass Lake was sentenced for disrupting a 911 call to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 326 days are stayed for two years. Headbird must serve 39 days and was credited for 39 days time served. She was placed on two years supervised probation and must pay a $750 fine. Headbird was also sentenced for obstructing legal process to 90 days in the Beltrami County Jail which is stayed for one year. She has been placed on one year supervised probation and must pay a $200 fine.

Grant Dean Vanelsberg, 19, of Wyoming, Minnesota was sentenced for DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail of which 305 days are stayed for four years. Vanelsberg must serve 60 days and may do so on work release or sentence to serve if eligible. He has been placed on four years court probation and must pay a $1,000 fine.
