Becker County judge sentences Lilleodden
Orlin Lee Lilleodden, 34, of Park Rapids was sentenced April 16 in Becker County District Court for felony deprivation of parental rights.
On Dec. 3 he failed to return his two minor children, ages 5 and 7, to their mother after a visit. The mother has sole legal and physical custody.
He took the children out of state and was arrested Dec. 29 at a campground near Malibou, CA. The children were placed in protective custody and returned home Dec. 30.
District Judge Jack Pearson sentenced Lilleodden to a year and a day in prison with execution of sentence stayed four years.
He was placed on supervised probation and ordered to serve six months in jail, with Sentencing to Service privileges granted. He was fined $500 plus court fees and was ordered to have no contact with the children or their mother, unless ordered by the court.
He must complete a cognitive skills program if so recommended by his probation officer.
