Beatrice Adeline Esser, 94, of Wells, formerly of Minnesota Lake, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Parkview Care Center in Wells.
Beatrice was born Jan. 22, 1920 in Becker County the daughter of Raymond and Adeline (Shackman) Pritchard. She went to school in Becker County through the eighth grade. Throughout her life Beatrice held several jobs including waitressing, babysitting and factory work, retiring from Telex in 1980.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, knitting, tatting, and quilting. She also loved to travel with Leo to visit their children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Karen Sullivan of Henderson, Nev., Bill (Kathryn) of Litchfield, Francis (Sandy) of Louisville, Ky., Mary Jane Flynn of Round Rock, Texas, Sheryle (Tony) Morales of Bricelyn, Naomi (Don) LaFountain of West Chazy, N.Y., Brian (Denise) of Minnesota Lake, and Cindy (Michael) DiCurcio of Las Vegas, Nev.; 33 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Vida Potter and Avice Zummak; brothers, Gaylas, Lester and Curtis Pritchard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; son-in-law, John Sullivan; grandchildren Brenda Bullock, Michael Esser, Daniel Maras; and great-great-granddaughter, Haley Allshouse.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake. Father Thomas Niehaus will officiate.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Interment: St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
