Annual Jingle Bells event begins Nov. 1
The Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce announces that the 12th Annual “Jingle Bells Sweepstakes” is about to kick off Friday, Nov. 1 with up to $10,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.
“This is an event where the business community gives back to local residents and says ‘Thank you for supporting us throughout the year,’” said Chamber Director Nicole Lalum. “With a grand prize of $5,000 cash and a multitude of other prizes to give away, it is definitely a kickstart to the Holiday Season!”
The Jingle Bells Sweepstakes, now in its 12th year, encourages people to explore the businesses and services in Park Rapids and the surrounding areas. Simply look for the “Jingle Bells Sweepstakes Participating Merchant” identification signs and ask what that merchant is doing for their sweepstakes ticket giveaways.
Some merchants want you to like them on Facebook, others are encouraging you to sign up for online bill pay and some want you to shop their store. It really is all about exploring the businesses. No purchase is necessary to win the Jingle Bells Sweepstakes. You can pick up a ticket at the Park Rapids Chamber offices at 1204 Park Avenue South.
Over 50 area businesses have agreed to participate in the Jingle Bells Sweepstakes this year. A complete listing can be found at www.parkrapids.com/events/jinglebellssweepstakes.htm. Tickets can be collected Nov. 1 through Dec. 11.
A Gala planned at the Century School Cafetorium for Thursday, Dec. 12 beginning at 5 p.m. will feature a nominally priced soup and sandwich meal as well as entertainment and door prizes. Everyone is encouraged to bring all of their collected tickets and be present for the grand prize drawing held that evening.
