ANNE HENRIETTA PIDDE

Anne Henrietta Pidde, 91, of the Park Rapids/Nevis areas, passed away at Golden Living Center in Walker, Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013.

Anne was born Oct. 9, 1921 to Henry and Amelia (Zettler) Evers at Mountain Lake and attended country school there.

In 1945, Anne was united in marriage to Harry Pidde in Jeffers. They raised three sons, Stanley, Douglas and Duane.

Harry and Anne farmed in Comfrey, for five years and then, in 1952 moved to Nevis, where they purchased Sunny Point Resort on 2nd Crow Wing Lake.

Anne enjoyed resort life and the people they met during that time. Anne took pleasure in raising her family, providing a comfortable home with good food and wonderful baked goods! She was always ready for outdoor family fun, such as fishing, boating and sledding, and truly loved being out in the northwoods.

She was member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, and was an active member of the Ladies Aid since 1959. Anne worked at 3M Wonewok Lodge for 18 years retiring in 1983. In retirement, Anne enjoyed fishing, crafts, traveling, musical shows, playing cards and welcoming guests and family.

Harry and Anne spent the last 28 years in Texas and Arizona and summers on 2nd Crow Wing Lake.

She is survived by her brother, Roy (Violet) Evers of Lamberton; sister-in-law, Viola Derksen of Mountain Lake; three sons, Stanley (Julie) Pidde of Blaine, Douglas (Jenifer) Pidde of Stillwater, and Duane (Cina) Pidde of Akeley; grandsons, Daniel (Sheila), David (Kari), Nathan, Jacob (Tracy) and Luke (Kimberly) Pidde; granddaughters, Shannah Geimer (Jon) and Jessica Schauer (Jon) and 12 great grandchildren.

Anne was preceded in death by Harry, her husband of 68 years, in January of this year; her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Ella and Hank Junker; and brother-in-law Walter Derksen.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Park Rapids with Rev. James Neubauer officiating. Connie Shubert will be the organist and Mike Poole will sing "The Lord's Prayer."

Casketbearers: grandsons, Daniel Pidde, David Pidde, Jacob Pidde, Luke Pidde, Nathan Pidde, Jon Geimer and Jon Schauer.

Honorary casketbearers: Helen & Russ Harrig, Linda and Colin Kantor, Linda and Mark Detlefson, Nancy and Jim Green.

Visitation: one hour prior to the services at the church.

Interment: Bethel Cemetery southeast of Park Rapids.

Following the service a luncheon will be hosted by St. Johns Lutheran Church.
