Adrienne Louise Plaine, 76, of Menahga, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 in Casa Grande, Ariz.
Adrienne was born Sept. 23, 1937 to Rueben and Louise Cole. She lived on the family farm near Hope, N.D. until she graduated from high school and married the love of her life, John Plaine. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this past fall. They enjoyed their retirement years by wintering in Casa Grande, Ariz.
Adrienne liked music and not only loved playing the piano but giving lessons to many children in her earlier years. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards with close friends. She also was a very big sports fan and kept up on all of the teams but her favorite sporting events were those that her grandchildren were involved in. Needless to say she was a very big Menahga Braves and Midway Snurdbird fan.
Her passion was her grandchildren and great- grandchildren whom she loved spending time with. Adrienne lived life to the fullest and fought a battle with cancer for many years to enjoy the life that God gave her. Her great faith and will power sustained her in that long fight.
Survivors include her husband, John; two daughters, Kim Rasmussen of Menahga and Beth Woodward of Casa Grande, Ariz.; three sons and daughter-in-laws Kirby and Susy Plaine of Aurora, S.D., Corey and Kim Plaine of Hallock and Kelly and Cara Plaine of Sartell; 12 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
