A Park Rapids man inured one week ago in a three-vehicle collision remains in serious condition in a Fargo hospital.

A spokesman at Meritcare said the condition of Drew Huntziger, 57, has not changed since he was admitted with severe head trauma Oct. 14.

Huntziger's vehicle sideswiped an oncoming vehicle on Hubbard County Road 4, according to Sheriff Frank Homer, then continued in the opposing lane of traffic, striking a second vehicle nearly head-on.

Homer said authorities are investigating the cause of the crashes, and whether they were alcohol-related.

The other two drivers were not injured.
