Accident near Walker kills one; another in critical condition
One person was killed and a 93-year-old individual was hospitalized in critical condition in a car accident Monday afternoon three miles south of Walker on state Highway 371, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Neither name was released.
The 93-year-old, a Walker resident, was the driver of a 1997 Buick LeSabre that went through a stop sign on Shingobee Road and broadsided a 1999 Chevy Tahoe driven by Lynn Morales, 36, of Walker. The accident was reported at 5:56 p.m.
Morales was uninjured, as well as four passengers. They were wearing seat belts or child restraints.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office assisted the State Patrol.
