2nd annual Nite to Unite tonight
The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office will be hosting the 2nd Annual Nite to Unite and invite the local and surrounding communities to the festive event.
Nite to Unite will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 6pm to 8pm at the Hubbard County Law Enforcement Center's east parking lot.
This is a great time for people to meet and interact with law enforcement officers from the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office and the Park Rapids Police Department. Also present will be members of the Park Rapids Fire Department and North Ambulance.
The Sheriff's Office will also include members of the Posse Unit, Boat & Water Patrol, SWAT/ERU Team, Explorer's Program, ATV Patrol, K-9 Unit, Sentence to Serve, Corrections, Communications, among others.
Also included will be a dunk tank (free will offering to the canine program), drunk goggles display, child identification fingerprints, and a K-9 Demo.
No need for supper as ham-burgers, turkey dogs, potato salad, chips, and pop will be on hand from 6-7 pm free of charge. Sheriff Frank Homer encourages everyone to bring the family, get to know your local law enforcement officers, and have a lot of fun.
Sponsoring this year's event will be Aviands Food & Service Management, Nei Bottling of Bemidji, and R&R Rental.
