As has become a Park Rapids tradition, hundreds came dashing through the snow (paltry though it may be) to ring in the holiday season with the Jingle Bells gala drawing Thursday evening.

Eleven winners will claim Jingle Bell prizes - one $5,000 grand prize with 10 ticket holders winning $500.

Also this year, a $500 cash prize will be awarded to the business that gave out the $5,000 winning ticket.

Ticket holders have until Friday, Jan. 4 to claim prizes.

Area merchants provided abundant door prizes for the event. And Girl Scouts sold cookies by the dozen as a fundraiser.
