Park Rapids homecoming next week

Park Rapids Area High School's Homecoming royal court has been announced. Park Rapids Area High School Homecoming is next week.

Events kick off Monday, Sept. 24 with coronation at 9:30 a.m. at the high school. A coronation tea will follow. Monday night at 7 p.m. is a powder puff volleyball game for the guys. Spectators are welcome.

Friday events for students include a car decorating contest in the morning and powder puff football for girls in the afternoon. After the game will be a pep fest followed by a parade at about 2 p.m. from the school through downtown Park Rapids.

Downtown businesses can decorate storefronts to show support for the school.

The Homecoming football game is at 6 p.m. Friday against Thief River Falls at the Park Rapids Area High School football field. A dance for high school students will be from 8 to 11 p.m.

Students can dress in certain styles on certain days during the week.

Monday is PJ day.

Tuesday is Big hair/prom day.

Wednesday is Hill billy/camo/hat day.

Thursday is thrift store day.

Friday is community orange and black day. Century School is participating in orange and black day as well.
