Wolf Lake Harvest Fest is Aug. 17-19

The 29th annual Wolf Lake Harvest Festival will be held Aug. 17-19 with food, games and festivities for all ages.

The Miss, Junior Miss and Little Miss Wolf Lake pageant will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the community hall.

A street dance follows at 8:30 p.m. in the community hall, the Wolf PaKK Band entertaining.

Saturday's events include a 5K walk/run at 9 a.m. on Main Street and a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. sponsored by the Wolf Lake Rescue Squad. Contact Amanda at 538-6690 to register.

A scavenger hunt and kids games begin at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. The coloring contest deadline is at noon; pick up entry forms at Lakes Area Co-op.

The Lions will serve a ham dinner from noon to 1 p.m. in the community hall.

A pie-baking contest begins at 11 a.m. in the community hall. Contact Amanda at 538-6690 to register or more information.

A pie social begins at 1 p.m.

The Harvest Festival parade begins at 2 p.m. with a mud run to begin a half-hour after the parade in the mud pits.

Vehicle classes are powder puff, stock and modified; four-wheeler classes are two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and powder puff. Call Ken at 218-639-6354 to enter.

Show your strength in the high striker contest held in the community hall in the afternoon.

A Finnish five-card tourney follows the mud run in the liquor store. Call LeAnn at 612-309-7059.

A street dance with Rock Bottom begins at 8:30 p.m. at the community hall with a beer garden, bar and off-sale open.

Sunday, a horseshoe tourney begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. Doubles play at 9 a.m., singles at 1 p.m. Contact Chuck at 218-849-4148.

A co-ed softball tournament begins at 10:30 a.m. Call LeAnn at 612-309-7059 for more information or to register.

The Park Rapids Community Band performs at 2 p.m. at the picnic shelter.

All Sunday events are in the Wolf Lake waterfront park.
