'Fiber arts' presentations will be featured during Art Leap weekend

Bobbin lace presentations to be held Saturday and Sunday. (Submitted photo)

The Twisted Stitchers welcome everyone who's interested in "fiber arts," especially art that's losing popularity such as bobbin lace - shown here - tatting, hardanger, rug hooking and spinning. They will display their work from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27 at the North Country Museum of Arts. The Twisted Stitchers have been working for more than a year on a display and demonstration of the fiber arts to coincide with Art Leap. About 15 talented ladies with tools and yarn/thread in hand will show anyone interested in how wool, linen and silk become works of domestic art. For more information, call Arleen Larson at 652-4816 or Kathy Belt at 732-0978. (Submitted photo)
