A new AutoZone store is opening on Highway 34 East in Park Rapids next to the American Legion.

The store will likely open mid-September, said Tracy Houston, AutoZone Communications Manager. About 10 people will be employed at the store (a mixture of full-time and part-time).

“AutoZone brings our commitment to customer satisfaction and provide trustworthy advice to the Park Rapids community,” she said. “We celebrated our 35th anniversary in July, and 35 years later our customer is still our first priority – that will never change.”

AutoZone has a Z-Net system that provides customers the ability to know exactly what part is needed, along with a Loan-A-Tool program with more than 50 different tools available.

The company has more than 5,200 stores in the U.S. (including the District of Colombia and Puerto Rico), Mexico and Brazil and more than 40 stores in the state of Minnesota.

Customers can also shop through AutoZone’s website at
